In Poland, migrant children and adults have access to free education, financial support, and opportunities for development. We help you understand the rules and prepare all necessary documents.

 

🏫 For children and parents

In Poland, children aged 7–18 must attend school, regardless of citizenship or residence status. Education in public schools is free.

 

What should parents do?

✅ enroll the child in a school or kindergarten

✅ provide documents (passport, PESEL if available, proof of residence)

✅ ensure the child is registered in the SIO system by the educational institution

✅ inform the school about any need for additional support

 

What is the child entitled to?

📌 free education

📌 Polish language lessons (at least 2 hours per week)

📌 remedial lessons

📌 support from an intercultural assistant (if available)

 

💰 Financial support for families

Parents can receive:

✅ 800+ monthly

✅ 300 PLN “Dobry Start” school allowance (once a year)

 

We help with:

• checking eligibility

• submitting applications to ZUS

• avoiding decisions of refusal or suspension of payments

 

🎓 For future students

Ukrainians and other migrants can begin their studies in Poland.

Important:

✅ a B2 certificate in Polish or English is required for most study programs

✅ with a C1 certificate, it is possible to study for free in state-funded programs

• preparing documents

• registration for studies

• support with residence and housing matters

Adult migrants can:

📌 attend free Polish language courses

📌 acquire a new profession

📌 undergo retraining through the employment office

📌 have their Ukrainian qualifications recognized
